# Execute StackAI Project

Run an existing StackAI project from another workflow or agent. Use it to reuse a process instead of rebuilding the same steps in several places.

## Before you start

You need access to the target project and a usable configuration for the inputs it expects.

## Call another project

1. Select the target **Project**. It must accept the text input used by this action through `in-0`.
2. Pass one or more strings in **Input Data**. Leave **Loop Mode** off to process only the first item, or enable it to run the project for each item.
3. Run the action and inspect the entries in **Results** before mapping a value to the next step.

**Result:** **Results** contains the response from each project execution that returned a result.

## Behavior and troubleshooting

The action cannot call the project that contains it. It sends each input string to `in-0`; it is not a general mapping interface for every possible input field. Processing several items creates several project executions, so check the volume before enabling Loop Mode.

## Inputs

| Field                 | Parameter    | Description                                                                                 |
| --------------------- | ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Input Data (required) | `input_data` | Input data for the project execution as a list, with multiple items if loop mode is enabled |

## Configuration

| Field              | Parameter    | Description                                                                                          |
| ------------------ | ------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Project (required) | `project_id` | The StackAI Project to execute                                                                       |
| Loop Mode | `loop_mode` | If enabled, input will be treated as a list and project will execute for each item Default: `false`. |

## Outputs

| Field   | Parameter | Description                                |
| ------- | --------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| Results | `results` | Results from the StackAI Project execution |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.stackai.com/stackai-tools/workflow-and-catalog-tools/execute-stackai-project.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
